Entering the doorway there's no salutation
And a sombre overtone seeps into the corners of my brain
Encouraging a feeling of apprehension
That I've been expecting for so long
"You were deluded by the peaceful nights
Yet in the peace of night does sorrow stun"
The symbol etched by my own hand
Of the empyrean gate half open in his eyes
Of this draconian riposte
His pupils dilate; but I can see appetence
To survive, and to share with me his life
For longer than just what we've had
A schism of fear interrupts the brain
And I see what it is to watch someone die
Just as I try to reassure
"You were deluded by the peaceful nights
Yet in the peace of night does sorrow stun"
I can't handle these nights anymore
My reluctance to change the cause
Of a horrific end to a beautiful lure
You shall wait for me no more. |
